Meet the Team Behind the Tail Wags
Marisel Chavez started Pet Squire as an extension of her passion; caring and loving animals; especially her own. An avid traveler, Marisel, was often on the road and could not find a place she felt would customize the care of her dogs, as they both had very different needs and personalities. As her marketing career grew, so did her need for travel and the need to find a reliable place for her family became a necessity. This is where her passion of animals (and previous experience with pet sitting) collided with her current need and successful past in marketing… and thus Pet Squire was born.
Marisel has extensive experience with animals– from her days pet sitting as a hobby on Rover (you check out her reviews here: https://www.rover.com/sit/mariselchavez), to rescuing cats and dogs on the street, to volunteering for pet transport organizations and finally working with abused and neglected farm animals. She has also had experience with exotics (monkeys + snakes) and atypical domesticated critters like ferrets and bunnies. Her love of animals is her life’s work and she plans on opening a sanctuary one day, as well.

Gaby is a pet sitting professional, from Argentina with a German Shepard of her own. She is an experience pet sitter with dog walking and even dog rescue experience! If anyone is going to win over your nervous or anxious pup its Gaby! She is very sweet with animals and they flock to her to get spoiled. She is based out our Brickell location and plays, feeds and spoils our pets in daycare and boarding all day!
Elizabeth Torres
Elizabeth is our receptionist and Lead Kennel Technician. You’re sure to come across Liz’s bright and sunny attitude offering to make you a reservation or reporting back how your pup ate! Here attention to detail and four years previous experience in the pet industry makes her an invaluable asset to the team.
Leyani Gonzalez
Leyani is a Kennel Technician with 2 years experience at Pet Squire. From receiving your pup’s at daycare with a shining smile to handing out puppachinos Leyani’s positivism and maternal love for the pups and kitties makes her a favorite with our furry guests.
Christian Diaz
Christian is a pet sitter and our main pet transporter; his expertise is driving and spoiling pups. He runs on time and always with a PAWsitive attitude. His contribution to Pet Squire is appreciated and we are lucky to have him.
Lorenze Davis
Lorenze is a Kennel Technician with the utmost attention to detail and love for all of our pups and kitties. Under his watch, your dog is sure to receive lots of hugs and kisses. His keen attention to detail ensures we stick to your routine at our facility. Lorenze’s positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond for our pups make him an asset to the team.
Cynthia Flores
Cynthia is our vivacious volunteer, she loves spoiling your dogs rotten! From hugs to spoon feeding (yes actually with a spoon) she’s sure to notice if your dog needs extra attention and will make sure he or she gets it!
Sofia Gonzalez
Sofia is one of our lead groomers at Pet Squire. She puts your pup’s well-being first. Ensuring to take her time while grooming; from knots to hygiene cuts, she makes sure your pup is comfortable, well taken care of and comes back to you sparkling and clean!
Sandy Tortiello
Sandy is a groomer with Pet Squire and also a pet sitter for us. Having been with us for 4 years, Sandra has a lot of experience not only in grooming but in pet sitting. We love calling Sandra part of our team as she is kind, responsible and a true animal lover!
